curvature of the Earth

Can anyone recommend software/website/anything for determining how the curvature of the Earth with come into play when designing back haul circuits?

Thanks,

look at zytrax.com

just a little note, but curvature is only factored when the link is over 7 miles.
hey Andrew, i wonder if we are related?

You might want to check out a program called “Radio Mobile” it allows you to calculate link properties. I guess you would call it freeware. You can find it at

It takes a bit of time to set up, but it is worth the time.

Thanks for your advice, all of you. A quick look at the website appears interesting… hopefully

LOL I doubt it since the nice folks at Immigration changed my grandfather’s name from Schulski to Hull in the 30’s (Polish jolks to ensue). Oh well, we could pretend.

Radio Mobile is about the best " freeware " type of app out there.. I use it for all of our backhauls.. and its about 90% - 95% on the ball.... Drop me an email if you need some help there andrew.
