I would like to see the SM’s capable of being a DHCP client without enabling NAT. We utilize a DHCP server for IP addressing and enabling NAT does not line up with our current model. Alvarion has had this feature for a long long time. WHEN will canopy have this??? PLEASE

I agree with you. When you have big number of customers you have to have a posibbility to control the units (SM's) in some way.

Besides, the SM's should have also a possibility do control them via for example config files loaded to SM's via TFTP just before booting.

So lets have hope that we will see such modifications in new firmware releases.

I will be happy also if the new firmware will have the ability to add more custom filters. For example if someone behide the SM have a virus, we can block the port which is used by virus and the customer will still have access to the net. To block all popular viruses today I need about 16 filters (for TCP and UDP ports).
