Diffserv questions

I have a 2.4 advantage ap and a 2.4 advantage sm.

The SM has high priority turned on and the diffserv’s are setup to defaults in each unit.

Sipura ATA settings

SIP ToS/DiffServ Value:0x30
RTP ToS/DiffServ Value:0x38

SIP CoS Value:3
RTP CoS Value:6

If I am doing things correctly

0x30 is code point: 48
0x38 is code point: 56

These should be high priority in the sm with default config?

This is located in the uplink stats

Shouldnt there be a listing for the code points? if they are being used?

Or am I mis understanding?

Use packetyzer or other sniffer to capture some packets from the Sipura and make sure it is tagging the packets properly. The Diffserv field consists of 8 bits the first 6 are the code point and the last 2 are not used. If I remember correctly I had to add in the last two bits to get the Sipura to tag them properly, but that was a year ago.

I did figure this out with supports help

If you want to check and make sure you are using high priority on Hardware platform

Lookin in either the uplinkstats of the sm or the downlink stats of the ap

You should see somthing like this if HPQ is setup correctly
