Downlink Efficiency

Hello,

We are just starting out and the network has been live for about a week. We have a total of 8 customers on 5 access points around town. Out of those 8 links, all are getting 91% downlink efficiency and 100% uplink efficiency.

We are using 5.7 Cyclone Access points. And 5.2 motorola backhaul links. There is another wisp in town, but they are using 2.4 Alvarion and wired backhauls to their NOC.

What I know…

Spectrum analysis looks clean to me on all links.

The statistics below are of our best link - rssi/jitter wise.

Link Test:
Stats for LUID: 5 Test Duration: 2
Downlink RATE: 4085760 bps
Uplink RATE: 1136640 bps

Expected Frag Count: 15960
Actual Frag Count: 17362
Uplink Efficiency: 100 Percent

Actual Frag Count: 4440

SM:

Jitter 1
Air Delay 42 (approximately 0.39 miles (2058 feet))

AP:

What tests should I perform to help pin point the cause of this?

Thanks,

Joe Falaschi

are you using a CMM to sync your modules?? do you have more than 2 APs on the same tower in the same band? i have noticed that i can get away with having 3 APs on the same tower, 2 5.7, 1 2.4, with not CMM and a different brand of BH, and not have any Re-register problems, but on another tower with 3 2.4 APs, and a 5.7BH, almost all of my SMs have Re-registers issues. hope this helps, oh, about to get a CMM micro, they say it will fix this.
