Hi there,

We’re currently deploying a large site with new Wi-Fi. We have previously replaced their full switching environment with cnMatrix which has been flawless. 🎉

When we set up the new Wi-Fi profile, I find it interesting that the ‘Ethernet Port’ setting calls the port a “Trunk” but that is incompatible with a “Trunk” on a cnMatrix switch (I’ve spoken with Cambium support who confirmed the switch end should be be a “Hybrid” and it’s all working great that way).

I think a more accurate label for the port on the AP would be “Hybrid” vs “Trunk”,

Thoughts?

Keep up the good work Cambium! The difference in deploying 50+ WAPs from Cambium vs say Meraki is stark, and I can’t believe ppl put up with their process! 😂

Cheers,
John
