ePMP FORCE300CSML There is no warranty for cosmetic deterioration

I installed an ePMP FORCE300CSML in a coastal area just over a year ago, it was working without problems until one day it started to give me certain failures. We took it down to review it in detail and we could observe that the radio allowed the access credentials to be entered only once and once inserted, it did not load the menu and it remained in loop mode. We had to disconnect it from the power for more than 2 hours and try again but nothing allowed us to enter the total configuration menu. Already tired, we decided to take it to my wholesaler for warranty, who physically reviewed it and gave me a ruling that it could not be covered under warranty because it showed deterioration on the label and jumpers, obviously because it is outdoor equipment and is installed on the seashore, it is logical that it would have deterioration. Anyway, here I am telling you how a product that went on sale in my country having a 3-year warranty not specified by the manufacturer or the wholesaler was rejected. What an experience, I recommend. Install outdoor equipment, but build a roof or niche to protect it from external environmental problems in case it has to be sent for warranty so the equipment looks aesthetically new.

Hi @sniper_113,

From your description, this does not appear to be a hardware failure.
The ePMP is designed to meet IP67 and IP68 standards, which means it is resistant to dust and water ingress, but not completely waterproof.

In moist environments, daily temperature fluctuations can cause condensation and eventually corrosion inside the unit. This may lead to a short circuit on the reset button, forcing the device into recovery mode.

I recommend raising a support ticket (top right of this page) so that one of our engineers can help isolate and resolve the issue.

A word of advice. Do not rely on your supplier to decide if you have a legitimate warranty claim or not. You can lodge a warranty claim through Cambium’s support portal, and if approved, you will be given a replacement credit to use at your local supplier. Just follow the warranty process on the cambium website and do not rely on your supplier to decide if your warranty is legitimate or not.
