I'm not able to get a epmp2000 to link to a epmp1000 as a TDD SM or EPMP slave

running 40 mhz channel in DFS.

verfied Keys and netowork names,  also tried with open secuirty.

they work fine swapping the roles.

Finally the throughput graph is back! This made my day. Thank you!

GUI Performance is DRAMATICALLY faster than before!  Even on a phone or tablet or slower Netbook - the GUI performance is very fast now.  :)  Good job guys.

absolutely!  upgraded several of our epmp sites tonight.  very impressed with the performance and functionality.  apprecaite it!

Hi,
I had SM disconnections issue using 3.1-RC30 on ePMP 2000 with smart antenna.
Users keep disconnecting after 1-2 hours without any reason.
Downgrading to 3.0.1 solved my issue.

Did you solve this issue on 3,1 final release?
Please look at support ticket 108590.

Thank you

Noticed that the DFS false radar hit claims to be resolved, however i did notice that back to back frequency reuse is nolonger possible, as one sector will hit a false radar signal.

I was able to resolve this by changing channels on one of the sectors.

Hi,

I would really appreciate it if you could provide more data regarding issue with Frequency Reuse option?
What is SM Target Receive Level configured on both APs?
Which Antennas are used with APs?

Thank you.

Hi,
Frequency reuse: Front
Max Range: 16km
SM Receive Level: -55dBm
Antenna: Cambium ePMP 2000 Sector 90/120 with Smart Antenna
No DFS frequency used, no info in system log about disconnections

I can confirm 3.0.1 solved the issue instantly after downgrade.

Performances in upload are better using 3.0.1 instead of 3.1-RC30

I can test 3.1 this night only: this is an AP with 50 real users

Hi Chris,

This is the ePMP 2000 as an SM correct? We'll look into this.

Thanks,

Sriram

Hi,

We still have a few radar signatures outstanding. The team continues to work on resolving these.

THanks,

Sriram

Hi guiseppe4,

When you move between software versions, are upgrading/downgrading both the AP and SMs or just the AP?

Thanks,

Sriram

Just the AP.
SMs are all 3.0.1

SMs are all 3.0.1

Is it because the maintenance window does not allow for upgrade of SMs as well? Is there a reason why you are not upgrading the SMs to 3.1?

I can upgrade SMs also to 3.1 overnight.
I noticed this issue on the AP side and I didn’t upgrade to 3.1 thinking it was an AP issue.

Should I upgrade to 3.1 all SMs? What if I have the same issue? Would downgrading the AP only to 3.0.1 solve the problem?

I upgraded the AP to 3.1 final 46 minutes ago.
I already had 2 disconnections of all SMs on the AP.
I’ll upgrade some SMs to 3.1 to check their disconnections and let you know

EDIT:
Just checked all SM are 2.6.2 and only some SMs are 3.0.1 and they’re not disconnecting! I’m sorry for misunderstanding. I’m upgrading all to 3.1 to see if the problem is still there.

Sorry for multiple posts, but I want to help to check what is the cause of this problem :-)

I upgraded all SM to 3.1, and at the moment they're not disconnecting anymore.

I can confirm the issue seems to be 2.6.2: I have other ePMP 2000 APs with 3.1-RC30, with all users on 3.0.1, and no disconnections.

Performances are not so good: lots of SMs are choosing Sector instead of Smart Antenna (with 3.0.1 almost 95% was on Smart Antenna), and this means very low upload throughput.

EDIT (UPDATE):
After about 20 minutes of 3.1 I'm seeing multiple flapping from Smart Antenna to Sector of each user, and then disconnections of each one, one after another.

I'm now downgrading to 3.0.1 only the AP.

Hi Giuseppe,

I've sent you e-mail.

I would be grateful if you could provide access to your link to troubleshoot issue.

Thank you.

Hi Chris,

Could you please specify which channel and Country Code is used?

I cannot reproduce described issue in 5.4 GHz band with US Country Code.

Thank you.

Ok, glad to see there's still some radar signatures outstanding. I rolled all our sectors to 3.1 last night and two started seeing DFS radar hits almost immediately once 3.1 was installed. Rolled back to 2.6.2.1 and issues went away.
