ePMP Release 3.5.1 is now available

Is anyone else having issues with GPS on this firmware I'm having 4 or 5 of my updated epmps constently lossing gps.

Hi!

1. Please check that you have latest GPS firmware.

2. You can always increase the GPS holdoff timer to workaround the issue.

3. I know it sounds weird, but I would recommend to disconnect the GPS puck. In this case GPS reciever will use small built-in antenna patch. In most cases GPS is stuck due to high signal level of GSM/LTE transimitters and using lower gain build-in antenna patch helps to workaround the issue.

Hi.

I use ePMP1000 2.4 Integrated Radio, SW ver. 3.1, 3.5 and 3.5.1

I can't get http link via SNMP to JSON config file from ePMP1000 2.4 Integrated Radio if run under SW ver 3.5/3.5.1

Problem:

Step 1. I send 1 (integer) to ePMP via SNMP:  cambiumJSONCfgExport  .1.3.6.1.4.1.17713.21.6.4.10 i 1

Step 2. Checking link preparing via SNMP:  cambiumJSONCfgExportStatus  .1.3.6.1.4.1.17713.21.6.4.11

It OID returned to me export status code: 4 (Success, no errors).

I think its ok! Then i want to download cfg file.

Step 3. Check cfg link on ePMP: cambiumJSONCfgExportLink  .1.3.6.1.4.1.17713.21.6.4.13

ePMP returns: Name/OID: cambiumJSONCfgExportLink.0; Value (NoSuchInstance): No Such Instance

Whats wrong?

If i use ePMP1000 with SW ver 3.1, i get on STEP 3 next: Name/OID: cambiumJSONCfgExportLink.0; Value (OctetString): http://192.168.1.2/dl/3.1.0_01092015000840.json

Thanks.

Hi,

Just checked with my ePMP2000.

I just tried this with 5.8 and 2.4 radios, integrated, connectorized, and Force200, APs and SMs, all on 3.5.1, and it worked every time.  No help, I realize, but I'm having 100% success.

Hi Dimitri,

Please use private community string on the step 3. It was available via public community string in older firmware versions. Now we decided it will be more secure to allow access to configuration using only private community.

Hi, Dmitry!

Thank you for this information. It is very important, because I use "public" community for OID with read-only access.

I have an AP with a GPS issue, however, this is a weird issue. it does not affect Sync at all.
in cnMaestro, it states that the GPS is out of date however when I click on the upgrade page I do not have the option to upgrade the GPS.

Spookie,

Can you tell me the GPS verison that is being reported on the radio? If its "AXN_5.1._8174", then this is a known issue. And you can ignore it for now. The GPS firmware version reported by the radio to cnMaestro has a typo in it. Notice the period after the "5.1". The firmware version should be "AXN_5.1_8174" (without the period after the 5.1). This causes cnMaestro to think the radio needs a firmware upgrade while the radio itself has been upgraded to the latest.

This will be fixed in 3.5.2 and will be handled by cnMaestro in the next release as well.

Sriram

well that is interesting  the AP reports AXN_3.20_8174

And is 3.5.1 FW running on current AP ?

GPS FW upgrade from 3.20_8174 is available only on FW starting 3.5.1 Release.

Thank you.

Right. As Fedor said, is your AP running 3.5.1? cnMaestro is correct here, in that 3.20_8174 is old GPS firmware. But the radio needs to be running 3.5.1 for it to also tell you that it needs a GPS firmware upgrade.

the subscriber modules are running 3.5.1 however the AP is not as i had problems with subscribers being randomly disconnected yet the session would still show as connected. but the modules were not responsive..

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or reported, but I upgraded a TDD PTP link using 2x Force 200 5GHz radios to 3.5.1, and the SM shows two very different signal levels, depending on where you look.

The home page shows: -79 with SNR of 17

Monitor/Wireless and eAlign show: -68 with SNR of 27

Both have some fluctuation, but this is an 18 mile shot with less than perfect fresnel zone clearance.

Everywhere I look on the AP, the signal levels all match.

HI, My problem is with the port, the Ap don´t respond for ethernet, but i see activity for wireless,

I need to reset the ap for the network to work again. The problem is random, we have 110 epmp2000.

Thanks for your help.

We are new to cambium after years of UBNT, Where would i find the latest downlaods for epmp equipment.

Hi,

Please follow the link:

Thank you.

Just upgraded two Force 190 from factory firmware using cnMastro. Both failed to re-associate to the access point. I was able to log in to one of them. It does not see the access point in scan. Switched to WiFi mode and it was able to see all of the 5ghz access point around the facility. Access point is a ePMP 1000 no gps running 3.5.1. Other force 190’s that are in the network that did not get upgraded connect just fine. What am I missing.

Is the AP running a DFS channel?

Good question I will check onsite in the morning. I am running all of these in conjunction with cnPilot e500 devices.
