ePMP Release 4.3.0.1 is now available for the ePMP Force 300 and PTP 550. The Software can be downloaded at:

Soooo... got the master side of an F300 link updated no problem... but I cannot for the life of me update the slave side from 4.1.4 to 4.3.0.1. I've tried rebooting, different browsers, I even tried converting it to a master temporarily, but it refuses to do so due to some weird antenna/EIRP error. I'd try cnMaestro but this build has not been added to the cloud version yet (4.1.4 isn't even up yet).

Am I missing something here? Any ideas on how to get this radio updated?

Perform the update from verison 4.1.2 and without problem. Maybe that can help you .. I'm testing it and apparently it's going better ... these last 2 days have only been blocked once a day ..even if you install version 4.3.1 RC7

I tried a bunch of other things today, like rolling back to 4.1.2 and then up to 4.3.0.1... I even tried using 4.3.1-RC7 and no dice. It will downgrade and upgrade within the 4.1.X line just fine... but will not upgrade to any major version past that.

Try set lower antenna Gain or tx power before an upgrade. That should lower EIRP and probably you may pass EIRP validation.

As this is a Force 300, I cannot lower the gain on the dish, it's fixed int he GUI at 25dBi. The radio I'm trying to update is in SM mode, and has TX power set to Automatic. I tried setting it to manual at 20dBm, and then uploaded the firmware, but it does the same thing... it says it's applied, all good, and needs a reboot... I reboot and then it comes back with the old firmware... BUT then I tried setting it to master mode (with the TX set to 20dBm) and was able to change it... reboot... upload the new firmware, reboot and this time the firmware update took.

UPDATE! Things are still not well.... I changed back to slave mode and rebooted and now it's pretty much bricked:

We tried power cycling it... and it only shows this message and will not connect to the master.

Just got new 3k on my desk and in i section under Driver mode is still ePTP available :)

Hi people, PTP550 second radio is still not connecting with 4.3.0.1. Link is 20km distance. (Downgrade to 4.1.2 second radio is connecting normally). Changed multiple frequencies and every possible configuration but the result is always the same. First radio all ok but second radio never connects and doesnt even see the signal. Only way to connect the second radio is to downgrade to 4.1.2.

Is 4.3.0.1 safe to upgrade to on Force 300s? I see Eric Ozrelic had some issues with getting the Slave side upgraded. Thanks.

I certainly hope it will be. In my opinion, the Force300 and e3K are essentially non-functional as a PTP backhaul without ePTP mode. I mean, they do link and throughput is great, but with latency bouncing back and forth in TDD PTP mode, that makes them impossible to use over multiple hops. ePTP is a must.

Someone from cambium support could help maybe?

Answering my own question, I sent Tech support files to cambium and they found a problem with the RAM on the Slave device thous they asked to make RMA.

If someone experience similar problems please do contact cambium support.
