ePMP3000 - Info

Today my first epmp3000 has arrived and I would like to ask some questions about it

The SmartAntenna:
being the sector a Mimo 4x4, it's necessary?
do you always use the epmp2000 version?
has advantages, in the mode:
 - 4x4 Multi-User?
 - 4x2 Single-User?
 - on customers with F300?
 - on old customers with F200?

I connected a 2000 series smart antenna but in the web panel it does not appear anywhere that is connected and the BSA LED on epmp3000 radio is off

Another question:
Can not select a channel above 20Mhz? Why? I want to try a 40Mhz but there isn't the choice

Version is 4.3

Thanks

Mirko

Right now, the ePMP 3000 does not support the Smart Antenna / BSA.  It will in a future software version.  Currently 40 MHz is also not available in the software, if I recall correctly.

when the 40mhz will be introduced?

40 and 80MHz will be available very soon (although 40 will probably be first)... they're working out some disconnect issues with it right now.

ALSO, I didn't notice this when I first posted this, but it appears as though there's a beta that supports 40/80MHz channel sizes... have you tried it yet? It's located HERE.

40Mhz works!

Also Compatibility with 1000/2000

Today a Force200 (Version: 3.5.5) can't connect to epmp3000 (Version: 4.3.1-RC7)

Also a Force300-16 (Version: 4.3.1-RC7) can't connect to epmp1000 (Version: 3.5.5) Rejected - Incompatible Software Version

Is normal?

Yes, this is normal as the backwards/forwards compatibility firmware has not been released yet. It's in private beta ATM and will be released very soon for public beta.

Another questions:
1 - using epmp3000 sector antenna, what is the max value "Subscriber Module Target Receive Level" to set, to has the best signal and no impact in frequency reuse front-to-back ?

2 - and minimun distance between two sector (Front & Back) ?

3 - and if smart-antenna is used? Same values as question 1/2 ?

Set this to -60dBm

2 - and minimun distance between two sector (Front & Back) ?

Assuming you're using the OEM antenna, approx 3 feet or 1 meter

3 - and if smart-antenna is used? Same values as question 1/2 ?

The BSA does not transmit, so no changes to the above values.
