epmp3000 is compatible with eForce 200 or 190?

Hello, I just want to know that ePMP3000 is compatible with ePMP Force 200 or 180,190? ePMP2000 can talk to ePMP Force 300? thanks.

Yes.  With the latest firmwares, there is both backwards and forwards compatibility. So every ePMP Access Point (1000, 2000, 3000L / 3000) can connect to every ePMP SM (1000, 180, 190, 200, 300).

Likewise Cambium has already stated that the next generation of ePMP equipment (presumably the 4000 APs and Force400 SMs?) will also be backwards and forward compatible, preserving our investments in Cambium gear as much as possible. :)

That is correct.  If you are using ePMP3000, it is recommended that all devices are on 4.x (v4.4.2 ideally as of this writing).  Basically you don't want to mix 3.x and 4.x versions in the field.  I've attached a pic that may help.

While they may be compatible, we are not seeing optimal performance for a 2000 AP with 300 SMs. All of the 200s/180s we switched to 300's dropped download MCS rates by 1-2 levels when connected to a 2000. We also have some that disconnect a few times a day where the 200/180 it replaced never dropped connection. This is in a rural area with no interference. Same RSSI as the 200/180, but lower MCS rates.

This is not a complaint or a rant, just an observation. Unlike other manufactures, Cambium has given all of us a path to migration. It may not be optimal performance (our results), but at least we do not have to forklift an entire tower and all SMs connected to it. And as Ninedd previously said, when 11.AX is released down the road, we will have another path to migration, no forklift needed.

I will say this as well, a greenfield 3000 with all 300s connecting has surpassed my expectations. We are seeing excellent results and performance.....stability and throughput.
