Error. Unpack failed, damaged or wrong format package

When I try to update the ePMP GPS unit, it gives me “Error. Unpack failed, damaged or wrong format package”. I have downloaded the file several time on multiple PC’s and still get this error. The unit has Ver. 1.1.7 on it and I am trying to upgrade it with ePMP-GPS_Synced-v1.2.3-2.tar. Please help.

The file you download from our website, https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/epmp you should be able to upload to the ePMP GPS unit. (AP) There is no need to un-zip or un-tar a file before you upload the file to the ePMP AP. The radio will take the “ePMP-GPS_Synced-v1.2.3.tar.gz” file as a whole and upgrade the radio.

Corey, I removed all ePMP from my network due to frustration. I am now trying this once more. I have tried to upload that package to my radio with a Mac and Windows machine. Both give me the same error.

I am also having this problem with 2.3 and 2.2 firmware packaged upgrading the AP unit from 1.1.6 RC13

Am almost ready to send these units back and just stick with my ubiquiti stuff

I kept retrying and eventually got the firmware to load
