ethernet link disable

Hi Guys & Gals

I’m sure this is in the manuals somewhere but I clicked the disable ethernet connection on a clients SM and now I have lost all connectivity with it?

Was this supposed to happen? I thought it would just disable his link and not the radio connectivity.

Is there anyway to enable this again over the air?

Thanks in advance.

ooops

Worked it out myself!

Needed to go into the remote subscribers tab and got it from there

Certain versions also had an interesting interreaction with the "power up in align mode" setting (whatever it is really called).... Basically the unit would power up in align mode since there was no link (since it had been disabled). It would then stay in align mode (and not associate) until align mode had timed out - so effectively the SM would be unreachable for quite a while after rebooting it with the ethernet link disabled.

Not saying this was your issue... just something to remember for the future.

yeah good advice…never knew what the point of that selection was!
