Pulled an older V1000 out of the back of the closet as we were out of units on our new deployment. Tried to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.5 and bricked it maybe. NIC light on unit is solid red, sometimes turning to solid gree, then back to solid red… can I recover?

**Hi Phil Boynton,**

Yes, you can recover your V1000. Please follow the steps in this knowledge base article:

> [@cnWave 60GHz V1000 Recovery Procedure](https://community.cambiumnetworks.com/t/cnwave-60ghz-v1000-recovery-procedure/106548/):
>
> Topology: V1000 — POE — Laptop Connect the V1000 to your laptop via Ethernet through the PoE injector. While in Recovery Mode, the V1000 will be accessible at [http://169.254.1.1/](http://169.254.1.1/) Configure your laptop with a static IP address in the same range, such as 169.254.1.100. If the unit is currently powered off, turn it on and wait approximately 120 seconds for it to fully boot. If it is already on, proceed to the next step. Power cycle the unit briefly — turn it off, then back on within 5 seconds. …
