Does anyone know if I should be able to connect a Force200 with 4.1.1 firmware to an ePMP3000 that is running 4.3.2.1 The boss does not want to upgrade the 3000 until smart antenna support is available, but I have many clients that are currently connected to ePMP1000 that could be migrated to 3000 to alleviate some congestion on the 1000.
Also, will force200 with 4.1.1 connect to ePMP1000 with 3.5.6?
Also curious if anyone using this configuration can say how stable it is.
I’d second that. Besides 4.4.1 (or the imminent 4.4.2) is pretty stable. Its more likely that 4.5 (first release) will introduce a few quirks, like any first release can. So 4.4.1 / 4.4.2 will likely give you the best stable release for the present.
But, to directly answer your question, I never had much success with mixed major firmware versions - so a 4.1.1 SM with 3.5.6 AP… I wouldn’t willingly do that. Especially considering how early in the ‘backwards compatibility’ cycle that 4.1.1 was.
