I have a high power 2400 access point running the latest firmware but when I use the updater tool to try to turn on hardware scheduling, it says it is not supported.

Is this an Advantage platform AP?

It looks like u have a classic 2400AP .In this case u need to get in touch with Motorola or their ACSP/ACRS to buy Conversion To Advantage Platform.

This would allow u to get the hardware scheduling.

FOR SMs u do not need this.

Please go through following & decide which one suites u.

So does that mean that only advantage AP’s can use Hardware Scheduling ?

I believe that has the “ver 8” board… you can send it in and get them to swap it out with a ver 9, which support HW. Cascade will do it for 1200? + or -.

To see if you have an Advantage capable board telnet into the radio and type ‘ver’. If it says platform 9 then you have a board that can get the software upgrade to Advantage. If it is a P7 or P8 then you will need to participate in the trade in program and upgrade the hardware.
