Set-up is point to point running at 80Mhz Frequency under 5650!~ total distance is at 9.7KM…
We already tried different frequencies but still getting the same results but still stuck at SS-MCS-9!.
We also tried changing Channel Bandwidth from 20 & 40 still same results…
already tried re-phasing my back-haul but still can’t get up to DS… dunno what’s wrong, also on same link and tower has a F300 at 80mhz stats are showing DS4-5 on both Upstream and Downstream…
Need your inputs guys… already on my 2nd day but can’t figured what’s wrong… btw i already upgraded the firmware to its latest 5.3-RC17 still same result…
Update1
Is this a hardware problem? Access Point or Subscriber Module?? which one?
Update2
Also tried setting the Downlink Max Rate to DS-MCS0-0 & 1 then after we did the Auto but still failed to get the DS-MCS Status…
Update 3
While trying to change the Downlink Max rate i noticed something wrong… whenever i try to set it to DS MCS 0 - BPSK 1/2 in a moment it will be there and then goes to SS MCS 0 - BPSK 1/2! Whenever i raise the DS MCS it will do the same and will reflect the SS MCS on the Downlink Capacity…
if Downlink Rate is Configured on the details bellow…
DS MCS 1 - QPSK 1/2 instead of showing this it will be SS MCS 2 - QPSK 3/4 and the thing goes on as till you go DS MCS 11 and will show MCS 9…
Update 4
Already Tried Reset to Factory Default via interface on both AP & SM… Reconfigured both device and still getting the same result… Stuck at SS MCS not even a glimpse on DC MCS-0
thanks for the inputs… but those frequency is not usable under that link because its congested… open frequency are at 5.5 - 5.7 only… we did tried it too but still failed to get a DS-MCS…
What happens if you choose a 20mhz channel?
If it works then you are needing to swap out to a force400c and a higher gain antenna, but not for the gain but narrower beam path to get a higher snr value.
If it doesnt work, I suggest taking one down and take it to the base of the tower of the other and see if you can link at any DS MCS rate there. If not then its a hardware issue and you are going to have to suffer through cambium support tripple checking everything
We did a side by side test and still failed to get a DS-MCS… the Configured AP still giving SS MCS even they were just 1 meter a part… What we did we reconfigured both antenna, and the radio that gives SS MCS we installed them as Subscriber Module now and the Unit with DS-MCS we made it an Access Point and wullaa…
This is a brand-new unit came from our supplier… upon multiple testing we found out that it is indeed a hardware issue… we just swapped the location of the Access Point & Subscriber Module a few mins ago and this happened…
We did managed to get the DS-MCS from Downlink and the SS-MCS same as before but now on SM Side due to the swapping… Stats were totally swapped… now i have a decent Download Speed on SM Side but having only around 100mbps+ Upload… will this be okay? or should i ask for replacement?? most users are not that upload needy… having this RMA will take quite a lot of time…
now that you have proven an issue that follows a specific radio, it is definitely time to get cambium support involved.
I would also try 40Mhz and 20Mhz channel sizes to make sure its not something with channel width but from everything your showing, this does look to be an issue that needs support’s attention.
I am pulling in @Fedor_Trutsko so that he can help get this sorted for you. Warning, you will have to provide both config files and tech files for support and this is a frustrating process. It does help to schedule a screen share time and let the support guys poke around the radios.
One thing I am going to point out is the -59 RSSI is a limiting factor but you should get DS 4 from -59 RSSI and 38SNR.
just this morning the SM Side suddenly can’t connect to the AP even it is detected on Available AP’s with a 57 RSSI Reading… Gladly we have a spare one…
there you go… the new statistics from our Old Antenna that replaced the defective one…
9.5KM F425 with Reflector Extender total of 28dbi… The 90% of the Link is running through the Ocean…
