What is your network traffic level looking like over the Holidays? Is it light because end customers are away from home doing other things, or is it heavy because everyone is home and shopping online or streaming videos? Any screen shots of your network load?
From Dec 19 to Jan 4 kids here were home from school. Our daily average fiber downlink into the NOC increased by ~35% during that time, but has now settled to about 10% up, compared to the week preceding the increase.
Expected pattern, surprising (and somewhat unsettling) scale.

edited to add 2-yr fiber throughput average graph. The mesa at the right end is Dec18-Jan5, basically. (the huge spikes are counter-wrap anomolies I never bothered trying to smooth out)
