How are UL/DL throughput statistics calculated?

Hello

I'm on the Statistics tab for the system-wide view of all our devices and can see, per device, info like UL/DL thorughput. How is this value calculated? Is it weekly, hourly, daily? Is it an average? Does it count times when the device is offline?

Hi ,

The UL/DL Throughput shown in statistics page is Wireless Throughput Average calculated every 5 minutes after cnMAestro receives the data from the devices. It won't count when the device is offline. For 4H/12H/24H/1 Week granularity graphs please use the Performance Graphs for the particular device in Monitor->Performance page.

So it is calculated every 5 minutes, but how many data points does it use to compute the average?

Hi ,

If first 5 minute input from device is X and second 5 minute input is Y , then cnmaestro calculation for Throughput is  (y-x/300) where 300(5*60) is seconds . The final value is in bps/kbps/Mbps based on the traffic .
