How do I add a new license on a PTP 820(x)

At the PTP 820 GUI, enter the license management page by selecting Platform/License/License Configuration.

  1. Enter the license key you have received from the vendor in the License Key field. The license key is a string that enables all features and capacities that have been purchased for the unit.

  2. Click Apply.

If the license key is not legal (e.g., a typing mistake or an invalid serial number), a License Key Loading Failure event is sent to the Event Log. When a legal license key is entered, a License Key Loaded Successfully event is sent to the Event Log.

 

New PTP 820 units are delivered with a default license that enables you to manage and configure the unit. Additional feature and capacity support requires you to enter a license key in the License Configuration page. Contact your vendor to obtain your license key.
