Answer: The Throughput Test Tool under Tools–>Throughput Test can be used to test the capacity of the link in its current operating environment. When the test is executed, the Access Point and Station send data at the maximum rate based on the configuration provided and conditions prevailing at that time without disrupting connectivity to other stations. This is unlike Canopy where communication to other SMs is suspended until the test is finished.
NOTE: The Throughput Test tool is still undergoing some tweaks and performance optimizations as the server/client resides on the actual radio unit. For 20MHz tput tests, please use SNMP to execute the tests as the UI may not provide the optimum results. 40MHz link test is not supported at this time.
