How to use Downlink Frame Time %

I am still new to Cambium, but on Airmax they give the total Airtime % in the GUI so I can use that to determine if the AP is running near full load. When running in a flexible TDD I just use the total %, but in fixed TDD on Airmax I use the Airtime % based off the DL ratio. So if I have the AP set to 67/33 when the reported Airtime % is around 65% I consider the AP running near full capacity.

On ePMP 4K I see the Downlink Frame Time % is listed under Monitor->Performance. How do I interpret this value? If I am running a 75/25 split do I consider the AP near max when Frame Time is near 75% or 100%?

I did some tests by doing a single SM and then a double SM link test and on a single SM the Frametime did not exceed around 42.6% while on a double SM link test it would top out around 67.2%. Shouldn’t the link test force the AP to around 100% DL Frame Time used?

I do have the same question hopefully someone can help us

The downlink frame utilization is representing the utilization of only the downlink portion of your split. So 100% utilization of downlink represents 100% of 75% in a 75/25 configuration for example.

On ePMP, uplink frame utilization isn’t reported. For a time this was referred to as something that would be fixed or changed in the future but it never has that I’m aware of.

PMP450 reports both uplink and downlink frame utilization.
