Https not working on PMP450i - Chrome and Edge

Around one month ago our https connections to PMP450i stopped working in Chrome and Edge. http works in these browsers. https and http both work in IE. This happens with a direct computer connection so it’s not related to our network or firewalls. Prior to the the recent problem we were using the https links in cnMaestro with no issues. Has anyone else seen this? We have tickets with Cambium and with our own internal IT support but haven’t figured it out yet. I’m hoping someone else has seen this and can tell us "Oh yes, it’s simple to fix. All you need to do is… "

Thanks
Don

From the ticket, the error you are getting is ERR_SSL_Version_OR_Cipher_mismatch.

What firmware version are you running on your PMP450i?

Hi Simon. Thanks for your reply. We mostly use 16.1 but some of our newer systems use 20.x
I was able to use https for a couple of our 20.x radios. I guess it’s time to upgrade. I see in the release notes that 20.x introduces some changes to the TLS versions that are supported.

We’ll do some more testing to make sure that the problem does not occur in any of our 20.x radios. We didn’t make any firmware changes when the problem started so it’s still not clear to me what caused the problem but the important thing is to get it working in the future.

From release notes it looks to me like 16.x firmware supports TLS 1.1 but not 1.2 and 1.3, while 20.x is the opposite. Is this correct?
At the same time, from Chrome release notes, it seems like Google is ending support for TLS 1.1
Thanks
Don

I think that might be right, yes. There are very few browsers that are unable to speak TLS 1.2, so hopefully you shouldn’t have any issues with that.
