This should be implemented in ePMP APs as it will reduce unnecessary broadcast traffic, as well as help support client-client unicast connectivity when they belong in the same subnet by first sending their traffic to the gateway. It will also eliminate the possiblility of IP conflicts caused by a customer choosing a static IP that wasn't assigned to them.
This feature is commonly available in managed switches and other wireline equipment. It should also be available on APs.
