New AP + SM running v12.0.3.1 One registered SM. Running in 5.4.
Initiating a link test will cause the AP to reboot whether run from the AP or the SM.
Any ideas Cambium?
I’ve not had that issue on any of my APs. Have you tried downgrading the firmware on the AP to 12.0.3 ?
I escalated this to Cambium support when I saw no activity on this thread. I’m still working with Cambium on this and their suggestion was to try upgrading to 12.1. It has not helped and I may replace the AP and RMA the unit.
I’ll report back here when we solve the problem.

You know this isn't an actual technical support forum, right? It's purely for us customers to talk amongst ourselves
I have been lucky in the past using forums to solve problems. Sometimes it’s faster than waiting for an e-mail.
We solved the issue today. Our cluster has 9 AP’s and one CMM Micro. With our CMM maxed out, we sent power to the 450 with a standard Canopy power injector and sent sync from the 6 pin sync pulse port on the CMM (two cables). We tie it into the network with a ‘dumb’ switch. This works OK on other APC’s, but this is the first time we did it with a 450.
We also tried generating sync and nothing plugged into the sync port on the AP, we still had the problem.
The problem went away after we sent power/sync straight from the CMM Micro (one cable).
Was this ever a confirmed issue in 12.0.3.1? I seem to be experiencing the same thing on my system (AP reboot when running link test). About to upgrade to 12.1.3, just holding back due to the few problems they’ve had with the new release (atleast in 12.1.1 and 12.1.2)

Upgrade....we've been using 12.1.3 and it seems to have resolved the issues in 12.0.3.1, 12.1, 12.1.1, and 12.1.2.
This is an old thread, but it applies to us once again.
We are have been using v14.1.2 without issues and are now upgrading to 15.0.2. Now we are seeing one of our AP's begin to reboot just after it was upgraded. It seems as if when the AP is 'busy' enough with passing traffic or running a Link Test, the AP will reboot with the only thing in the event log being:
******System Startup******
System Reset Exception -- Power-On Reset
Software Version : CANOPY 15.0.2 AP-DES
Board Type : P12
Boot Bank : 0
Reverting the AP back to 14.1.2 stopped the issue. Does the 15.0.2 firmware require more current from the power source than 14.1.2? Does the 15.0.2 firmware increase CPU load?
