# Installing the CMM5:  Installing a Single Injector

Perform the following procedure to install a single CMM5 Injector.&nbsp; Note that the 56V Injector requires 2U of rackspace to account for the heat dissipation. &nbsp;The heat sink extends into the second unit of rackspace.

Ensure that the following hardware is available:

- (2) standard mounting ears for a 19-inch rack
- (2) spacers
- (4) mounting screws for each mounting ear

Use 4 mounting screws to secure the mounting ear to the Injector.

Use 2 mounting screws to secure the other end of the mounting ear to the rack.
