It is not possible to install XMS Enterprise 8.2.7 or 8.1.7 .ova via the build in Esxi Webserver Console. You will get a browser error. (See attachement)
But you can install the .ova template when you are using the old Vmware vSphere Client installed on a separate PC or Laptop to manage the Esxi server.
Version tested Esxi 6.5.0 (Build 4887370)
