LINKPlanner v4.8.6 Now Available

A new release of the LINKPlanner is available from

Thank you to our excellent user community—you reported a few defects and also helped us root cause some problems.

We apologize for any inconvenience that these defects caused you.

The key features of v4.8.6 are:

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues with incompatible mode options on PMP when the SM product was different from the AP product. This issue resulted in the Min Mod Mode Required only supporting the lowest mode option. Projects from earlier than v4.8.5 with Min Mod Mode Required above the lowest mode which have been saved in v4.8.5 will have silently reset Min Mod Mode Required to the lowest modulation mode.

This issue also caused an error when saving projects after splitting Access Points, which is also resolved.

  • Updated custom antennas to fix the issue preventing cnReach PTP antennas from being available on a link and updated to support custom antennas on cnReach PMP subscribers.
  • Re-introduced missing modulation modes from cnReach. This affected BPSK on 900 MHz ISM band and 64 QAM on 900 MHz licensed bands.
  • Re-introduced cnReach 220 MHz Band Settings inadvertently removed in v4.8.5.
  • Updated Australia modulation modes to support ETSI radios and updated ETSI performance in the 400 MHz bands.

Thank you again for reporting defects to our email ( and the forum.
