SiteSecure and Cambium worked together to capture the Fort Lauderdale Winterfest boat parade wirelessly to provide live video for security and event organizers.
We deployed a connectorized 450i SM attached to Omni antennas on the boat which connected back to a PMP 450 AP on a hotel balcony over ½ mile away. The bulk of the distance was over water so the path was riddled with reflections not to mention noise. Our downlink/uplink RX signal strength varied between -65 and -78 due to the pitch and yaw of the boat. Check out the videos of the boats.
The signal came back clear, and the security team was able to ensure a safe environment.
