Hi,


I just started up an WISP. All is working well, but one thing missing.

I’m not able to ping the SM radio connected to an AP. I wonder to get information from SM radio (SNMP Query). I remark that I can change the ip address to Public, but when done, the ethernet side of the SM can’t communicate in Layer 2 trought the network.


There’s a way to manage SM from SNMP without interrupt Layer 2 connectivity ?

Run private ip addresses on the private interface of the SM, if you are using private addresses already for subscribers then change to SM to another private 10...* / 172.16.. or 192.168...
