This morning i had what looked like the good old IGMP/ICMP pps problem. By the time i got to the office it was over with and I have been here for 2 hours waiting for it to happen again. Is there a way to monitor 24/7 for only certian types of traffic?
You can set thresholds on Cacti to alert you if the traffic flow on an interface goes above a specified value for a specified amount of time.
Alternately a NetEqualizer will automatically deal with it.
