Move Prizm to new server

I am trying to move PRIZM to a new server but I believe I am having license issues. I know the license is tied to the MAC address and I’m not sure how to get new licenses to reflect the new MAC address. Any help?

I believe you have to submit a request to Moto for this.

However, you can simply change the MAC address of your new server to match your old one.

In Linux, you can run “ifconfig eth0 hw ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx”. RedHat probably has some way of storing this in a config file.

In Windows, once you bring up the properties for your Local Area Connection, click Configure for your NIC, then visit the Advanced tab. The “Network Address” option will probably only appear if your driver has support for changing MAC address.

Yep, our Prizm is installed on a Windows 2003 server. I had a hard drive failure and had to move everything over to a temporary server. I used the method salad described to keep the licensing server happy.
