Agree.. I think good if canopy can do MPLS process and can kill Cisco or other router as CE :-) but i believe Moto must be change processor and memory to do that.
But basically Canopy is L2 bridge so there is no problem to colaborate Canopy with MPLS cloud but need router with MPLS enable behind the Canopy.
I already do that scenario in one of my telco customer, and works great
