Multicast

We're looking at trialling a limited IPTV lineup out on our wireless networks. Just getting into it but it looks pretty straightforward on PMP-450 with the new(er) software.

Has anybody else played with multicast video on this stuff yet?

- Prioritize TCP ACK (Enabled)

- DiffServ Configuration

  • CodePoint Selection (“46” - Video surveillance)
  • Priority Select (“6” – Video surveillance)

- Packet Filter Types:

  • IPv4 Multicast (Enable)
  • Filter Direction (Downlink)

Remote Module Configurations:

- Large VC Data Q (Enabled)

- QoS settings:

  • Sustained Uplink Data Rate (100000 kbps - Maximum)
  • Uplink Burst Allocation (2500000 kbps - Maximum)
  • Max Burst Uplink Data Rate (100000 kbps - Maximum)
  • Enable Broadcast / Multicast Data Rate (Disabled)

- Priority Settings:

  • Low Priority Uplink CIR (0 kbps)

I hope shold help you.

Hi Sanjay,

Thanks for the reply but I'm looking for operational experience delivering triple-play, not running a dedicated video surveillance network.

Cheers
