If i have 3 900Ap’s on a tower and I change the control slot on 1 AP where I have 35 users, do I also need to have it match the other 2 AP’s?

yes, all collocated ap’s need to match exactly, except the color code.

What if you are running 2 cyclone 120’s and one is hardware scheduling while the other is software?

Each AP must be identical in every way except frequency and color code. I recommend you convert the 900 running in Software to Hardware

We had to switch over once. We went in and changed each SM to hardware, and then changed the AP. All the SM’s registered and performance went way up.

I believe APs in a cluster are able to operate with different settings. Read the “Frame Calculator Page” in the User’s guide.
