Need help

hi all,

4 days ago we have try to install our 6 AP’s, everything looks good until we realize that every 30minutes or less the connection between AP and SM down for 5-10 minutes, and then back to normal again.

We’ve try to solve this problem by changing the frequencies of the AP’s and until now, we still havent got the answer.

any thought?

What frequency are the AP’s?
Are you using different color codes on each AP?
Are you using a CMM to set the timing pulse?
How much frequency separation are you putting between each ap?
Are you using public or private IP addresses on the AP’s and SM’s?
Are the SM’s getting an address from the AP?

The AP’s freq: 24135,24350,24575
Yes i have already give different color codes on each AP
Rightnow we are using the CMMicro for the timing pulse
and we are using private ip addresses on all ap’s and sm’s, and yes the SM’s getting an address from the AP

What i realize today is:
eventough the AP’s got request time out (I ping from SM to AP), I can still scan all the AP’s freq from the SM. And look like the AP’s is interference it self.

are you sure you have all the ap’s set to get sync from the cmm and not any to generate ? that will cause this

sorry for my fist post, question are unclear ^^

Maybe this question will make you easier to help me:

1. what is the use of port 7? instead of port 8?
because rightnow im using port 8 as power
when i try to powered up port 7, everything became unstable, hang

2. rightnow im using 6 AP’s and CMMmicro module, what must i use for the AP’s configuration GPS Sync pulse status? is it sync to received signal (Power Port) , Sync to Received Signal (Timing Port) or Generate Sync Signal?

rightnow im using :
1st AP : error no sync
2nd - 6th AP : receiving sync
(When i try to test the link with the SM, everything run smooth, efficiency 100%)

and im also trying with:
1st AP : generating sync
2nd AP - 6th AP : receiving sync
(when i try to test the link with the SM, got request time out)

3. Why the option in AP Status Screen “Broadcast Repeat Count” only showed in my 2nd AP?

FYI, rightnow Im only using 6 AP’s in my Tower.

regards

I think the cmm micro uses sync over the power port only. The regular cmm II uses over the sync port.

Thanks for the advice,

Everything run smooth now, I’ll be back with another question ^^
