Canopy supports NetBIOS, and this is great in an installation where you are extending a private network. When you are building out a Public network of subscribers broadcasting NetBIOS is not a desirable trait. Customers should not be able to see and connect to the workgroup of other users.
Having a switch in the SU interface to disable NetBIOS would be a simple way to resolve the issue.
