Network topoligy guidlines

Greetings,
I am in the beginning stages in planning a 900 MHz Canopy implementation and am looking for some information about laying our backbone. We are looking at rolling out in an area large enough that it will not be feasible to use a standard “hub-and-spoke” topology.

Although we are trying to use hub-and-spoke whenever possible, there are situations where we will have to daisy chain back haul circuits.

Is there any documentation available to guide me in determining how well this will work? What issues may arise from using daisy chains like this (aside from the latency, of course)? Any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated.
