New 3ghz subscriber modules..

It was announced at wispapalooza in 2018 that new 3ghz sm’s would be available q1 of 2019. When can we expect the new 450b sm’s for 3ghz and what’s the expected price point?

I want to see the 3Ghz 450b High Gains  😄

From my understanding, the high gains are only going to be 19bdi.

I got some info from Matt Mangriotis... "high gain is coming first (October). It’s going to be virtually the same as the 5 GHz version, but the  gain will be 19 or 20 dBi (vs. 23 dBi on the 5 GHz).

Mid-gain is 13-14 dBi, and should be released in Feb/March 2020.

The price is expected to be ~$30 more than the 5 GHz also…(this is due to)... more expensive componentry."

Hey!! That's what I said!

Is there any update on the 3GHz 450b's.

I would like to order these ASAP.

They're hitting distributors January 2020.

Can these be used as a PTP450b? If so, is it an added key or do these come with the PTP capability?

I asked about this and at the time I was told no... the main problem, at least for US/FCC users is CBRS/SAS access. I'm sure if enough people ask for it, they might produce one for ROW use however.

Maybe @CambiumMatt can chime in as I was discussing this with him awhile ago.

These have just started shipping.

Oh, and YES, they operate as PTP radios as well.... they are shipped from the factory as SM, but similar to 5 GHz 450b, you can change them to PTP using the option in the software.
