I ordered a few of these piezo speakers and replaced the connector with an RJ11. These are special as they need no external driver circuit, they will run right off the tone output.
Tried it out yesteday and it worked great. No headphone cable to get hung up and it was plenty loud enough. At 1.95 they are cheap enough to lose or drop.
I would suggest placing a dab of epoxy at the wire’s exit point to act as a strain relief.

Those look fantastic. i never really thought of naything else to use except headphones. PITA really. I would rather not have extra wires haging when you are at 200 feet trying to align an MS with reflector.
