Non advantage sm to advantage ap

Can someone tell me if the non advantage sm will work with an advantage ap? This is on 5.7. I know my throughput will not be advantage level, but that is ok. I just hate to buy advantage sm, when I only need about 3 mb/s of bandwidth…

Yes. 7Mbps aggregate sustained, 14mbps burst

Jerry, is 14 Mbps achieveble only in 2X mode or even if all the SM are 1X?
In other words: if I have 100 NON advantage SM and low signals (1X), can I have an improvement by using an Advantage AP instead of a regular one?

If you can get an SM to go to 2X on an Advantage AP you will see the 14Mbps bursting. You can’t get all 100 SMs to go to 2X, it will be limited to the 30 or so with the strongest signal.

Jerry,

When I login to ADV AP, it showed that:
(Uplink + Downlink) Sustained Data Rate <= 40000 kbps

Where the 7mbps rate comes from?

thx

The 7M aggregate is in the SM.

Sorry for my stupid question, but how can SM get 7M aggregate if the AP can only passed 4 Mbps?

Did I miss something here?

thx

RTM?

5.7 Non Advantage SM’s handle 7Mbps aggregate sustained. If the AP DL% is 50% you will see 3.5Mbps x 3.5Mbps

BTW, 40000 kpbs is 40 Mbps

Ah...yes my mistake... 40 Mbps...

Thanks for all the replies…Exactly what I needed to know…
