Non-cambium/cloud cnMaestro URL

Sep 1 00:29:47 Raintree-North DEVICE-AGENT[15813]: Non-cambium/cloud cnMaestro URL [https://10.1.8.28], disabling Server Cert check
Sep 1 00:29:47 Raintree-North DEVICE-AGENT[15813]: Unable to load response JSON ,error on line 1: '[' or '{' expected near '<'
Sep 1 00:29:47 Raintree-North DEVICE-AGENT[15813]: Unable to discover cnMaestro URL (re-discover in 348 seconds)
Sep 1 00:29:47 Raintree-North DEVICE-AGENT[15813]: Attempting (re)connection in 5 minutes

What can I do about this? 10.1.8.28 is my local cnMaestro install.

I see other threads end up dieing once they ask for the tech support dump. I'm sending that in, but I hope we can have a public resolution to this.

Hi Mike,

This looks like some other http server responding to the HTTP request the device sent for cnMaestro server.

So upfront I can say that this is not reaching the cnMaestro.

Is this the first/only device to your cnMaestro installation or you have other devices already onboarded to your cnMaestro?

What is the version of software and device model.

thanks

ashutosh

The Maestro’s web interface responds when I go to that in my browser. I do have other devices, but I haven’t checked on them since I upgraded. I believe that I am running 1.3 R7. The device is an ePMP radio. It is running 2.6.2 .1.

If I configure my linux box for the cnmaestro static URL then this is what I get.

I sent the tech dump to support. Do you need something else?

ticket 113955

Hi Mike,

thanks I have received the tech dump from the support team, will analyze and get back to you.

In the mean time it will be helpful if you can do a packet capture to see the exact http request / response between the device and server, if possible

thanks

Hi Mike,

Is it possible to upgrade to latest ePMP software and see if the problem is still seen. If yes then please enable all debug levels in the ePMP GUI, and get us  the logs from the device side.

thanks

Ashutosh

Hi Mike,

We notice that you are setting the cambium-id as  "Mike Hammett"  this is not a valid cambium id (spaces not allowed), moreover for a n on-premise the cambium-id is not needed.  However is  so desired it should be set ONLY to "cnmaestro_on_premises".

See  screen shot attached.

Please try this and let us know if it helps.

I am keen to know from where you generated this cambium-id ?

thanks

Ashutosh

Hi Mike,

Did you get a chance to try the cambium-id without spaces?

thanks

Ashutosh
