Gentlemen, can anyone say on average how many average residential customers can be comfortably supported on a 5MB/5MB internet backbone. We are thinking of using a 2MB burst for 1 Mb and capping downloads at 256K. Any input based on your experience will be greatly appriciated.
umm well i had ~80 customers on a t1 line with 384/256. a 5 meg pipe im sure would be good for 300-400 customers. as long as its managed correctly
We currently have about 115 users on 7mb/7mb. Rarely does the usage exceed 30%
