cnMaestro’s support for ePMP APs and SMs is still in beta. Onboarding of additional ePMP APs and SMs has been temporarily suspended while we fix an issue. In cnMaestro, this will be reflected by the fact that when clicking on the “Approve” icon in the onboarding queue, you may receive a message indicating that the device cannot be onboarded.
The team is working on some optimizations and this restriction may be removed by the end of the week. This post will be updated when the restriction is removed.
Wi-Fi devices, including cnPilot R200/R201, E400 and ePMP 1000 Hotspot, are not impacted by this restriction.
There is not a committed date yet but the team is working actively to open this up again to allow onboarding addtional ePMP AP and SM devices. It is a high priority.
Correct. That pop-up is referring to this temporary suspension.
cnMaestro has been updated in the last day and the goal is to relax this restriction in the next week or two. Upgrading ePMP devices to version 2.5.2 is part of this improvement.
The limit on the total number of devices has been increased and is expected to increase incrementally over the next few weeks.
In order to allow as many customers to use cnMaestro with ePMP AP/SM devices, we are limiting onboarding of new ePMP AP/SM to accounts that have fewer than ten ePMP AP/SM already onboarded.
We anticipate that these restrictions will be removed in January.
hi, i'm talking about onboarding. i have onboarded 23 devices (4/5 AP, the others are SM). im interested to remove the SM to add others AP, but is possible? if ' remove the SM to rech <10 epmp devices, can i add others AP to the max number of 10 epmp?
Hi Michele -- we bumped the number of devices per account to 30 -- so you should be good to add 7 more. If you want to unclaim SMs to make room for additional APs, that should also work. We are hoping to relax the restrictions more next week.
