is there a way to get a p8 board to do hw scheduling?
are the p8 SMs able to do HW scheduling?
25 out of my 34 AP’s are p8 boards. Im afraid to even count how many p8 SM’s I have

You can use all of the P8 SM, they can do HS.
You can leave the P8 Aps con remote/small locations…

you dont have the chance to use P10 SM on P8 APs though.
Vince all P7, P8, P9 SM’s will do Hardware mode. The P7, P8 must be set to hardware mode using the external tool in CNUT. The P9 can be changed in the config.
I hope there is a tool in CNUT that P10s can work on Software Sched.

P10 AP’s do not do SW scheduling.
It was the original intent of Motorola - announced in late 2004 that the migration plan was to eliminate SW scheduling.
With that said, the plan called for forward compatibility of SM’s to be able to operate in HW scheduling so that only the AP’s needed to be upgraded.
I guess P8 APs will be hardly used these days, mainly on new installations now that most SMs coming out are P10.
