Please Add Cable Gland to ePMP SMs!

My favorite ePMP SM form factor is the Force 300-19. It is an excellent shape (not circular) to blend with homes, has a good gain, has a plastic exterior, and has a cable gland for sealing the cable entry. This all makes for a long-lasting device and for good protection in harsher environments (i.e., salt-air).

Many Cambium APs device have been moving to the cable gland for cable entry, which is excellent.

Now, I understand a new ePMP 4518 is coming out very soon, but without a cable gland! I imagine it is too late to make a change here, but if there is any chance, I want to put a vote in for cable glands. Please offer cable glands wherever possible, they are fantastic for sealing, strain relief, and for future disassembly. Also, then if you lose one, you just grab another instead of trying to find a spare door.

I have multiple 450b’s that are missing their flaps; glad the 450i had glands

I’m not a huge fan of the cable glands but they ultimately are so much better than the plastic cable doors that get lost or get so brittle over time that you can’t remove them after a few years in the sun.

+1 on the glands. A second alternative would be to actually have reasonably priced replacement covers available through distributors.
