The development team wanted to demonstrate the ruggedness of the 450i hardware and its IP-66/67 rated enclosure. What better way to do it than put it in an extreme condition that everyone will recognize: one end of the link was submerged in an aquarium in our office reception area, and the other end was located in the demonstration room across the hall.
Yep, looks good. Yes, for clarification for others, this radio is made tough, and a lot more capable of being subjected to this type of thing, whereas the PMP100 radio needed some 'modification' to make it 'water' proof. Either way, great example of awesome Cambium gear at work!

The product is actually rated IP 66 as well as IP 67.
Per the definition of IP 67, actually the "7", this indicates protection against immersion up to 1m:
"Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion)."
This radio is still running and we've made a few updates!
We thought another great way to demonstrate the capability of the 450i was to utilize the Aux port to power an underwater PoE camera! So, we now have FishCam!
This camera is powered by the 450i Aux Port and the video feed is going over the RF link of this radio.
If you ever get to the Rolling Meadows office, you can check it out!
450i Aux Port Ethernet / PoE support is coming in 14.2 and will be availble in the first Open Beta load which should be soon!
