PMP450 AP Will only allow 430 SM's to Connect

Hi,

i have a PMP450 AP running on software version 13.1.3 (i know its an old software).

my issue is this AP will only Allow 430 SM's to connect to it.  when i do a spectrum analyze on the SM using a 450 it is picking up the frequency of the AP's but is giving me nothing in the AP evaluation yet when i do the same with the 430 it gives me the AP in the AP evaluation and i can connect no problem.

i know its not a firmware issue because i have another 450 AP beside it running on 13.1.3 and i have no issues connecting 450 SM's.

any suggestions?

It depends on the firmware version of the 450 SM itself.  There was a change made between 13.1.3 and 13.2.1 (and beyond).  While many configurations with discrepant releases will work fine, this is not always the case.

My suggestion is to upgrade all devices to R14.1.2 (doing the SMs first).  Once everything is on the same revision, it should all work. If you continue to have issues, please open a support ticket so we can help you resolve the issue quickly.
