Out of curiosity, what is this for?
I'm not 100% sure, and I might be getting confused with a different product line... but I think that post is to be used with some sort of adapter to place your phone on it when using cnArcher... to free up your hands while you're aligning it.
Yes, it is to attach a cell phone for use with cnArcher. We plan to create an attahcment with AMPS hole pattern which will allow campatible phone holders to be attached. The photo below show a cnRanger 2GHz SM with https://www.proclipusa.com/product/adjustable-phone-holder.
