Power Level (NA)

My field team just installed a 5.7 MHz SM connecting to an AP supporting 3 other SM units. When inspecting the link quality of the new installation, I noted that the RSSI values is in a red font and the power level is NA.

Has anyone seen this before?

The link test is good and the SM web interface is available (unit must be passing traffic); I do get a power level on the AP side of the link:

RSSI (Avg/Last): 1187/1183 Jitter (Avg/Last): 1/1 Power Level (Avg/Last): -63/-63

Regards,

Tim

The red RSSI means your unit hasn’t been calibrated. Browse to:

OLD URL

And enter the MAC addresses of your units. The calibration data will be emailed to you.

Then browse to your Canopy unit’s calibration page using its IP address:

http://169.254.1.1/mac.html (or whatever its IP address has been changed to)

Enter the calibration data, save, and reboot. Now the RSSI will be displayed in black.
